Privacy Policy — My Library

Last updated: July 10, 2026

My Library is designed so that your data stays yours. In short: we collect nothing.

Data storage

Everything you put in the app — your books, reading progress, ratings, notes, quotes, and photos of pages — is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no cloud service operated by us, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Network requests

When you add a book, the app looks up its details (title, author, cover, page count) by sending the ISBN or the title you typed to two public book databases: Google Books and Open Library. These requests contain no personal information and are not linked to your identity by us. Book cover images are loaded from the same services.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only to scan book barcodes and to photograph pages you want to keep as quotes. Images are processed on your device and stored only in the app. Nothing is uploaded.

Purchases

The optional "My Library Unlimited" upgrade is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information.

Data deletion and export

You can export your entire library to a file, or delete everything, at any time from the app's Settings tab. Deleting the app removes all its data from your device.
